Thursday evening, April 28th, my sister-in-law and I were texting back and forth about how fun it would be to get up early and watch the Royal Wedding together. Problem: she lives eight hours away. I thought we were joking, but suddenly my brother sends a text - "she wants to come invite her".
Long story short W hopped in the car the next morning and came for a visit. She arrived late Thursday evening and stayed until early Sunday. We had a wonderful weekend!
Early Friday morning we were up for the festivities. My mom came over and brought cake! :o) The wedding was amazingly beautiful! I was sad that I had to go to work and couldn't sit and watch it all day. I did get to see the best parts.
I'm glad W helped create a new memory for a Royal Wedding! Oh! And Nugget slept through this wedding. He would have enjoyed seeing the Joes*, though
*Nugget calls horses 'Joe'. Nugget's grandpa has a horse named Joe, so he thinks ALL horses are 'Joe'.
That afternoon I took Nugget in for his two year Well Baby check-up. He did so well at the doctor's office!
Nugget's Stats:
Height - 36.5 inches
Weight - 31.8 pounds
BMI - 16%
Nugget is in 92% for height and weight on the American charts. He is off the Asian/Chinese chart.
Nugget had to get a shot while we were there (second Hep B). He barely let out a cry and then was back to normal! He was such a big boy!!
What fun that you were able to enjoy the wedding with your SIL! What wonderful memories. Like you I remember waking up in the wee hours 30 years ago to enjoy Charles and Diana's wedding too. Hey, when William's and Kate's child gets married we'll probably get to see that one too!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Nugget and Hannah are similar in height! Tall babies for sure which is funny for souther China sweeties. Hannah is a little over 35" and in the 90th percentile for height for little girls.
Can't wait to see our kiddos together sometime!

Isn't is just amazing to see them flourish. He is such a big boy and it's very obvious just how much his mommy and daddy love him! :-)

I too can't believe that C & D's wedding was 30 years ago because I know I'm not that old!!
ReplyDeleteNugget is a big boy, at 2yrs he managed outweigh Maisie's 4 yr old appointment by 1.3 pounds and is the exact same height that she was for her 3 yr appt!! Sounds like he is thriving, wonderful check up.
Really enjoyed the trip and thanks again for the wonderful hospitality. Amazed at how big and bright Z is getting! It was great to spend time with him and play blocks among other things. He really is a special boy.
ReplyDeleteI just love that you were able to do that with your mom and sister-in-law! My mom and sister surprised me and drove down to where we were staying for the weekend so we could watch it together. We'd done it 30 years earlier and said we'd love to do it again and we did! What a great memory!
ReplyDeleteNugget is getting so big! Jenny is about an inch shorter but almost 5 pounds smaller! :) Love our little loves!
