I've Been Dared!

Last weekend I spent a wonderful day with Sandra. I was telling her about a purchase I made for polar cub. I didn’t blog about it because, even though I was excited about it, I didn’t think anyone would really be interested in my find. It’s not a super fancy exciting deal. Would you believe this very good friend of mine then DARED me to blog about it? Being the competitive person that I am ~ here’s the post.

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a diaper bag. It was a big deal for a couple of reasons. First it was the first purchase for polar cub we’ve made in a long, LONG time. It felt strange, but exciting. I haven’t wanted a lot of baby things around just in case all of this ‘just doesn’t happen’.

Secondly I have been dreading buying the diaper bag so when I saw this one and both Big Bear and I agreed on it, it was a relief. The dread came from the fact that I don’t carry a bag. I know I will need one, but it has been so hard to find one I like plus a bag that Big Bear will carry too. I really didn’t want to buy two diaper bags. I also knew I didn’t want to spend lots of money on a bag that will spend more time in the car than anywhere else.

Big Bear and I were at Target looking for a baby gift for a friend. For whatever reason this bag caught my eye. I think because it was brown. It’s big and roomy. I like the brown, it will work for either a boy or a girl. Just everything about it seemed right. We bought it.
The picture is from the Target sight. The bag we purchased is stored away. There isn’t the suede panel on our bag, it’s all brown, but everything else is the same. Simple, functional, perfect.

There you go my friend ~ Challenge ~ COMPLETED!

  3. Ha! I was wondering if you were going to post it ;-)
I think the bag is nice; it is very you. Hmmm... now what can I dare you to do next?

  4. Hey, if all we have to do is dare you...well let me think ;0)

Love the bag. I am all about function too. I love my Sherpa but I admit it is a little cumbersome for average daily outings. I'm finding I put most everything we need in the stroller bag and carry on. If it is a cart place, I carry a little tiny bag with the bare necessities. After all, the trove of baby care is right in the car.

Not much longer and you'll be figuring out what works for you. I can't wait!

  5. I like it!!! I'm glad you both agreed on one - my first pick was a men's diaper bag and it was on my registry. For Fathers day last year, my MIL bought it for Hubby thinking it was for him - loaded it full of stuff, too! When he opened it, he said, "Oh - you bought me Heather's diaper bag!" They were all confused. So I let him have that one and I got myself the limey one you know of. Trust me, you'll be using it a lot!

  6. Wow, so you got us all thinking about what we can dare you to do! I suck at carrying any sort of diaper bag, that's why my handbag is stuffed with snacks, cups and diapers (back then of course). Glad you found one that you both like though!

  7. We went with a plain and simple Eddie Bauer one, too, though ours was green corduroy. I like it. And I'm not much of a bag carrying person, either. I tend to use a backpack style purse when I have to carry something.

  8. I LOVE the brown....It's my favorite color. I still haven't found a diaper bag yet. I ordered one online and when I got it....The color was HORRIBLE! I'm thinking I might just buy a big purse and use that. Hmmmm, didn't think about what would happen if Jeff has to carry it without me.......
