Switching Out Pinks for Blues

Over the last four years I have collected a few things for polar cub. I haven't gone wild shopping, but I have gotten a few things here and there that I thought were adorable. We've also received gifts over the years. 99.9% of the outfits that we've accumulated are for a girl.

Last week I went through the drawers and closet in the nursery and pulled out the clothes and toys that Zac wouldn't wear. Here is the small pile:
The tub has our 'going to China' items. It's not full of girl clothes.
My favorite things went to friends who are waiting.

Our secret pal gave us these two outfits several years ago.
I am really sad that we won't be able to use them. It was such a thoughtful gift.
I had to take a picture to remember it.

Here is all that was left after the clean out. It was quite sparse...

No need to worry ~ Thanks to a couple of shopping trips,
two wonderful grandmas, and
a couple of thoughtful friends
Zac's closet is starting to fill.

I don't know who said that shopping for a boy wasn't fun ~ I am having a blast!!!

  1. I ended up in this same situation back in 2008. I had some boy things, but had a large collection of girl things since most referrals were for girls. It's exciting when you finally have a gender, a face, a personality! to match with.

  3. There are some neat sales going on right now, and the summer collections for boys are just adorable... I have one of each gender, and although 3/4 of the stores are dedicated to dresses and girly things, I always enjoy the fun and imaginative outfits available for little boys.
    Happy shopping!

  8. I might have agreed 20 years ago that buying boys clothes wasn't very exciting but NOW - holy cow. It's a whole new world for our little boys. I'm having tons of fun buying for my grandson.

  10. So glad you're able to begin shopping for your little man. Isn't it amazing to know how old he is, approx. what size he is and the best part is you can even picture his little face in the outfits when you look at them. Cool!!!

  11. I'm so excited for y'all that you will be filling up that closet! As to the Colts outfit... hmm... do you mean the Colts who left Baltimore IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT without telling anyone? Those Colts? *grin*

From a Marylander, who is extremely excited for you, even though you like the Colts

(And, if you trust me with your address, send me an email. I'd love to send you a BOY gift.)
